The DGH-Group offers a wide range of modern aluminium and magnesium die casting from high level research and development on to prototype development and up to fully machined and pre-assembled systems.

The majority of renowned automotive manufacturers such as VW, Audi, BMW and Ford are customers of the DGH-Group.The DGH-Group employs over 700 employees and consists of three companies and two main departments:

Growth, modernisation and investment across a range of production and administration activities make the DGH-Group one of the most modern foundry-Companies in Europe today. Further investments are planned. Casting and materials consulting, component development, the use of modern CAD systems, a quality system according to ISO/TS 16949:2009 energy management according to EN ISO 50001:20011 and the environmental certification according to EN ISO 14001:2009 are the basis of success. The coherent overall concept is rounded off by the development center (DTC), the mould and tool making (HFW) and machining (ZIT).

Development

Our experienced professionals use the latest CAD systems for the process-oriented casting and tooling. From conception to the finished product, our specialists include State of the art techniques in the development. Solidification and flow simulations are only a part of available resources.​

Casting

The DGH-Group produces highly sophisticated parts in aluminium- and magnesium-diecasting up to 20 kg. The castings is done on fully automated, real time-controlled casting cells.

Machining

The capability in the DGH-Group is rounded off by various postprocessing and assembly operations. Common trimming-, grinding- and surface machining as well as powder coating, surface finish and surface refinement methods in different types complete our spectrum.​

Assembly

The assembly of castings with a range of standard parts has been implemented in various projects in the DGH-Group. Specifically to each order, we work consistently on the further horizontal integration in manufacturing for the customer. Our highly qualified professionals secure the high standard at DGH-Group.​

By extension of capacities within the machining department and the creation of project specific, assembly areas the DGH-Group faces up to the requirement to produce complete assemblies.

The Foundry is located in Dohna, Saxony, the main site of the DGH-Group. It is also the place of foundation of the original DGH in 1993. The on Site mould and tool making (HFW), as well as the mechanical processing (ZIT) allow the development and processing of castings at the same location.

The DGH-Group has a large site with new buildings and modern production facilities with its foundry in Hof. Here all conditions are created to further expand the range of parts up to 20 kg weight.
With the production site in Hof the DGH-Group is able to even better meet the needs of automobile manufacturers and the supply of castings for the engine and gearbox production, but also for structural components in aluminium and magnesium.
Especially large and complex parts are made at the site in Hof, which also has significant possibilities for expansion.

DGH ZIT GmbH & Co. KG

The DGH ZIT GmbH & Co. KG offers a wide range of complex post-processing on the latest in CNC mills/lathes and processing centres as well as special machines.

By building a new production hall of 2,700 m², the range of machining programmes has been extended in the areas of technical washing with vacuum drying, high-pressure deburring and leak testing, whereby perfected computer technology guarantees constant quality at all stages of processing.

Apart from the finishing of serial parts, the DGH ZIT GmbH & Co. KG also offers the assembly of system parts.
